Question by Jentry: Is it possible to have hair loss due to an allergy?
My hair has been falling out so much for a while now. I have been tested for many different things that could be causing it but everything ends up being normal. I was thinking I have an allergy that’s causing it to fall out because I live in a much different climate now. I used to live in a humid city but now I live in a dryer city that’s full of all different kinds of trees. The whole area is completely different from where I lived before. Thought maybe that’s what it’s from. I want to go to a dermatologist or to an allergy clinic to find out what’s going on. I might have to go to both, but what do you suggest I should do? All feedback is greatly appreciated.

This is either a good thing or a bad thing, but if you had an allergy to your hair, that would qualify as an autoimmune disease. This disease will cause every hair in your body to fall out because your immune system will reject it right out of the follicle.
Instead, your horomons may have changed in coincidence or result of your move. One change shown to result in hair loss is the increased production of DHT. Be concerned if you find urinating a little more difficult after your move.
Sometimes changes in diet have an impact. Also consider that the EPA is just beginning to notice all the strange parmaceuticals in regional drinking water. Changes in hormone exposure could potentially induce hair loss. Consider a double-carbon water filtration unit.
Sniffles won’t cause you to lose your hair.
